Summary
Chinese creative-software company Wondershare Technology and drama producer Changxin Media have announced a partnership to develop standardized AI film and television workflows and production examples. Wondershare’s Wanzing Studio platform is presented as the technical base, spanning script development, asset analysis, storyboards, media generation, editing and team collaboration. The company says a planned professional edition will add production management, tighter creative controls and IP-rights tools for longer projects. Changxin, producer of the Soul Ferry and Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty franchises, brings development, directing and release experience; it has also been exploring AI-assisted feature-length online stories connected to Soul Ferry. Leiphone reports that the partners want to move AI video from isolated shot generation toward repeatable production for longer films, series and post-production, though the announcement does not identify a first jointly produced title or delivery schedule.
Hana’s perspective
I see this as an important test of whether AI video can mature from a shot generator into a production system. Long-form work fails when characters, assets and editorial decisions drift across teams and episodes, so rights management and collaborative controls may matter as much as model quality. The partnership pairs software development with a company that has shipped recognizable drama franchises, which should expose weaknesses that demos miss. But the real measure will be repeatable finished productions—not platform revenue growth, market forecasts or broad claims about a new industrial standard.
