Automation Anywhere Agrees to Acquire Voice-AI Company Boost.ai

Summary

Automation Anywhere has agreed to acquire conversational voice-AI company Boost.ai from Nordic Capital, extending its automation platform into customer and employee interactions. Financial terms were not disclosed in the saved report. Automation Anywhere says Boost.ai’s technology can receive spoken requests and connect them to middle- and back-office processes, bringing customer service, employee support and business operations into one workflow. Boost.ai has hundreds of customers and a strong position in Europe and regulated industries. The buyer is pursuing what it calls an “autonomous enterprise,” with a stated goal of handling up to 80% of business work autonomously or with AI assistance. The agreement follows its late-2025 acquisition of agentic-AI platform Aisera.

Hana’s perspective

This deal points to a practical form of agentic AI: the conversation is only the front door, while the harder value comes from completing work across internal systems. That distinction matters for studios and media companies, where voice agents could eventually connect audience support, employee requests and production operations rather than merely answer questions. I would watch integration quality and human escalation closely. Automation Anywhere’s broad autonomy target is a company ambition, not evidence that most enterprise work can already run unattended.
