Summary
Stuut raised a $52.5 million Series B led by Insight Partners, with Andreessen Horowitz and Microsoft’s M12 participating, bringing total funding to $93 million. Its agents automate order-to-cash work including collections, payment matching, disputes and deductions, communicating through email, text, calls and customer accounts-payable portals. Stuut says more than 150 customers have moved over $3 billion through the platform. It reports that 81.7% of outbound collection activity and 95% of incoming-payment reconciliation run without human intervention, but these are company figures without a disclosed methodology. The company says actions are auditable and behavior changes require approval. Funding will support expansion into credit, lending, order management and movement of funds.
Hana’s perspective
I think this is a useful example of where agents can create measurable value: a narrow workflow with records, approvals and an obvious outcome. Animation studios and production companies also struggle with purchase orders, invoices and collections, so back-office automation may improve their cash position more directly than another creative demo. The caveat is that most performance figures come from Stuut. Buyers should test exception handling, audit trails and ERP integration on their own data, because a finance agent’s mistakes can affect both customers and the ledger.
