Guangzhou Evening Class Teaches AI-Comic Production and Copyright Basics

Summary

More than 40 university students, creative enthusiasts, workers and young entrepreneurs attended a public evening class on AI comics and short dramas in Guangzhou’s Baiyun district. Instructors from the Bulu Bulu AI Film and Television OPC base used commercial production examples to explain the full AI-comic workflow, emerging job types, skill requirements and routes into training, employment or entrepreneurship. The course also covered copyright compliance and business support. Local Communist Youth League officials described it as a way to broaden young people’s awareness of new creative-industry careers.

Hana’s perspective

I see the class as a modest but concrete sign that AI animation is becoming a labor market, not just a demo category. Teaching the whole chain—including copyright and commercial roles—is more valuable than training people on one model that may soon change. The unanswered question is quality: a production base can teach throughput, but creators still need storytelling, art direction and critical judgment. Training programs should publish what jobs graduates obtain and what rights standards their commercial projects follow.
