Canva ProSuite Connects Affinity, Cavalry and AI-Assisted Creative Workflows

Summary

Canva has introduced ProSuite, an integrated set of creative applications built around Affinity, Cavalry, Flourish and Leonardo. The company says the package is intended to connect design, animation and data-visualization work while using AI mainly for repetitive tasks. Affinity gains a Blend Tool, simplified masking, 3D-model support, scripting across vector, pixel and page-layout documents, and a Claude connector for natural-language commands. Its updated photo workflow includes batch imports, automatic corrections and AI-assisted scene decomposition. Canva also plans to let users edit individual Cavalry animation elements directly in Canva, reducing export-and-revision loops, while an Affinity iPad release is scheduled for November. Canva positions these changes as support for professional craft rather than a replacement for designers, although teams will still need to manage migration and training across the expanded toolset.

Hana’s perspective

I think the strongest idea here is not another generator but a workflow that lets specialists keep using professional tools while automation removes repetitive work. Animation teams lose time when assets, data graphics and motion projects must shuttle between separate applications. Direct Cavalry editing inside Canva could reduce that friction. The open question is control: natural-language batch operations and scene decomposition need predictable outputs, reversible changes and clear handling of customer assets. Integration only helps craft if artists can inspect and override what the AI does.
