Summary
OpenAI has introduced Intelligent UI with GPT-6, allowing ChatGPT to choose when to render responses as interactive graphics, forms, buttons, tables, maps or small tools instead of plain text. Reported examples include adjustable recipes, bill splitters, savings calculators, road-trip maps, quizzes and 3D diagrams. Users can change parameters and see results update without repeatedly rewriting a prompt. The feature launched with GPT-6 Sol for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise customers and GPT-6 Luna for free and Go accounts; enterprise administrators control activation. It applies to Chat rather than the Work or Codex models. Users can limit, though not fully disable, visual layouts in web settings. OpenAI also claims faster response starts and stronger safeguards, but the two saved reports do not provide independent tests of those improvements.
Hana’s perspective
I think this is a meaningful interface shift for visual creators. A generated control panel, timeline or adjustable calculator can make an AI response easier to inspect and use than a paragraph of instructions. For animation teams, the same pattern could support shot planning, budget scenarios or asset review inside a conversation. The risk is that polished controls may make uncertain output feel authoritative. Interactive elements need visible assumptions, provenance and undo paths. I would judge Intelligent UI by whether it improves verification and iteration, not by how quickly it replaces text.
