MIKROPARK Launches Russian Vertical-Drama App With 100-Series Target

Summary

Russian producer Alexandra Remizova and investor Dmitry Ryabov have launched MIKROPARK, a mobile app for vertical drama series built around one- to two-minute episodes. The platform says its library will combine Russian originals with licensed shows from Turkey, India, Argentina and other markets. Its first announced titles include “Husband by Default,” “Lisa, We’re Canceled,” “Classmates” and “How to Marry a Millionaire.” The company plans 100 vertical series by the end of 2026 and more than 500 in 2027, with new projects added weekly. It says initial investment could reach 1 billion rubles and that it is discussing sales of Russian originals in China and India. Users will be able to buy individual series, subscribe or watch with advertising.

Hana’s perspective

I think the useful test is not whether Russia can launch another short-drama app, but whether MIKROPARK can sustain its promised production pace without making its catalog feel interchangeable. Weekly releases and 500-plus series in 2027 demand repeatable writing, shooting and post-production systems. The mixed payment model may help the service learn which audiences will subscribe, pay per title or tolerate ads. Its plan to export Russian originals is also worth watching: microdrama has often moved formats across borders faster than individual shows, so success in China or India would be evidence that the stories themselves can travel.
