Summary
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation, known as GH, is taking five AI and deep-tech companies from Pangyo Techno Valley to Silicon Valley and San Francisco for an overseas expansion program. Aior Korea, MediAge, iLive, Factagora and Swig were selected for the 2026 GH Basecamp and are scheduled to pursue investor meetings and local networking from October 7 through 16. GH says it covers flights, accommodation and local transport while providing company-specific diagnostics, mentoring, investor pitches and meetings with businesses and institutions. The companies will also attend TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 in San Francisco from October 13 to 15. GH launched the program in 2024 and says it aims to connect preparation, market validation and follow-up support. The saved report does not identify funding commitments or completed commercial agreements.
Hana’s perspective
I think the useful part of this program is its sequence: diagnosis and mentoring before travel, then investor meetings, market testing and follow-up. A conference booth alone rarely creates international demand. For AI-animation startups, the same lesson applies. Entering the US requires a precise use case, credible rights and data practices, and evidence that a product fits real production budgets. The report does not describe the five companies’ technologies or results, so this is evidence of an export-support effort, not yet evidence of successful expansion. The next meaningful measure will be partnerships, pilots or financing that survive after the event.
