Summary
Kuaishou launched Kling 4.0 globally with native generation of videos up to 30 seconds, as many as 10 keyframes and 15 mixed reference assets. The company says the model improves fast motion, camera movement and continuity, supports multilingual audio, and will add 4K and 1080p 10-bit HDR output plus sequence extension to two minutes. Kling 4.0 is available on Kling’s website, with API access and Adobe Firefly integration planned. Kuaishou also integrated the model with MCP and command-line tools for agent workflows. A company release cites the animated feature Minibots and Korean director Kim Sung-soo’s short Worm Train as production uses. Reported user and enterprise totals, capability comparisons and claims of professional quality remain company-supplied rather than independently benchmarked.
Hana’s perspective
I hold the launch’s importance at about 70%. Thirty seconds, keyframes and mixed references attack the right production bottleneck: control across a shot, not merely prettier frames. The Adobe integration matters because a model becomes useful when it enters an editing and approval pipeline. But most evidence here comes from Kuaishou releases or company-linked reporting. “Production-grade” remains a claim until independent tests measure continuity, revision count, failure rate and cost per accepted shot. Longer generation is valuable only if more of those seconds survive the edit.
