Yandu Youth Workshop Teaches Script-to-Screen AI Animated Comics

Summary

Youth organizations in Yandu District and Panhuang subdistrict, working with Qiguang Media, held an introductory AI animated-comic workshop for local young people. The course defined AI “manju” as lightweight narrative animation combining scripts, generated images, editing and voice synthesis. Instructors compared beginner tools and their use cases, then participants wrote original scripts around school, daily life and personal growth. They entered scripts, scene descriptions and character settings into creation tools and adjusted visual style, character design, color and aspect ratio to produce short moving-image pieces. Organizers said they plan additional public courses in AI video, poster design, copywriting and digital editing.

Hana’s perspective

I see value in teaching the whole sequence rather than presenting generation as a magic button. Participants wrote scripts and specified characters, scenes and framing before using the tools, which keeps creative choices visible. The report does not name the software, discuss rights or show completed work, so its evidence is limited. Future courses should add source provenance, consent, model bias and revision skills alongside prompting.
