Summary
Chinese AI-video startups are building integrated workspaces as ByteDance pulls generation, storyboards, assets and editing more tightly into its Jianying ecosystem. The report says Flova now offers project folders and reusable asset libraries, while LibTV and related products combine models, team canvases and production files. ByteDance’s Jianying Hub similarly connects scripts, storyboards, image, video and audio generation with a multitrack editor. Funding has flowed to independent companies including Flova, Shengshu Technology, Aishi Technology and Yanyu Technology, although several valuation and IPO figures in the report are attributed to other media rather than disclosed filings.
Hana’s perspective
I think the competitive moat is moving from model access to accumulated production context. A creator can switch generators easily; moving character sheets, approved shots, style rules and editable timelines is harder. Independent platforms still have room if they are model-neutral and make that project memory portable. If they simply wrap the same models inside another subscription, ByteDance’s editing and distribution advantages will be difficult to beat.
